The City Of Orlando Is Divided Into 9 Districts Essay

The City of Orlando is divided into 9 districts. Indeed, each district has its own personality and offers different events throughout the year. The manager of each district is in charge of these activities and their primary goal is to always drive customers and tourists into their districts. The Small Business Saturday is an event that is held, each year, the day after Black Friday and the main goal of each district is to get traffic into their stores and to celebrate with the community. Indeed, this time of the year is extremely important and many of these small businesses rely on the holiday season to accomplish their annual sales. (Orlando Sentinel, 2015). This year is not different, the Mills 50 District, and also all the other Districts of Orlando, are going to hold the Small Business Saturday on November 26th. As a consequence, we are considering as our direct competition the three closets districts to Mills 50, which are Audubon Park, Ivanhoe Village and Thornton Park. Audubon Park has done similar activities in the past and last year for the Small Business Saturday event they did a raffle for cash. The event was successful in getting business to the local stores and this year they are planning on following along with the Ivanhoe District in their annual Sip and Stroll wine tasting event. Last year they use the hash tags #ShopSmall and #AGPD to promote the event.
